Stoves aren’t exactly a cheap household item, well actually that’s not entirely true. They can be. You can avoid all of the big brands nowadays and opt for very cheap models, possibly Asian imports, but you do need to be aware of the risks.
Big UK brands have built up their reputations over years, and many of which provide certain guarantees, and easy access to spare parts and advice. You don’t tend to get that with budget brands, and you may find that the materials are cheaper, meaning problems are more likely to occur. If you want a stove that’s designed to work efficiently, then you do need to be willing to spend a bit of cash. If you’re barely going to use your stove and it’s mainly for decoration purposes, feel free to opt for a budget model from an unknown brand.
